Job Title: Field Service Advisor
Job Location: MI
Incumbent provides field service support to Customers by solving mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical
problems as well as conduct training seminars for both operation and maintenance for all product lines .
This support in many cases is actual hands on work performed by the Field Service Advisor.
Fully participate in and support the company quality system.
Extensive travel both international and domestic. Travel can be as little as one day up to eight weeks in
Communicate with customer to determine the nature of problem (Interpreters provided when needed).
Diagnose the actual problem and recommend corrective action.
Communicate with and supervise a work crew supplied by customer to accomplish the necessary repairs.
Serve as a Sales Representative for the entire organization.
In some cases, coordinate a “turn-key” maintenance crew supplied by company to accomplish the
necessary repairs or preventative maintenance.
Document all field service activities performed on each order and compile a complete trip report.
Document all expenses related to the field service call for invoicing purposes.
High School Diploma.
Journeyman mechanic with electrical background or equivalent training.
Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assembly experience.
Knowledge and Skills Preferred
Advanced mechanical drawing and blueprint reading ability.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to effectively present verbal information and training sessions.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
