Job Title: Regional Sales Manager
Job Location: IL - Rockford
Reports to: Director of Sales
Summary The Regional Sales Manager is the primary interface between Ingersoll and the customer and is
responsible for Ingersollís awareness of the capital investment programs of its customers/prospects, which
match Ingersollís market strategy.
Duties Prospecting new customers and opportunities within our existing customers.
Recommend sales strategy to the Director of Sales.
Understand and promote the companyís solution.
Report if Ingersollís solution matches customer needs.
Manage companyís relationship with the customer.
Provide data about the customer/markets, competition, regarding Ingersollís products compared to
competition, and Ingersollís performance.
Understand and identify customerís plant operating issues.
Responsible to register and report current information in Ingersollís CRM.
Qualifications: Have strong prospecting skills
Bring a strong existing regional customer base
Direct business to business sales experience
Experience selling custom made Large Capital Machines
Be self-disciplined and able to self manage
Have the ability to work in a team environment and assist in developing new marketing strategies.
Willing to travel for periods of time
Have appropriate appearance and personality to be representative of the company to others.
Education: Bachelor Degree in Sales, Marketing or Engineering preferred. In the absence of a
Bachelor Degree, 5 or more years of experience in sales of industrial products.
